Action research is at the heart of PEGASUS. As such the project adopts participatory involvement and engagement with both public and private actors and stakeholders to better understand – and tackle – the range of policy and practical challenges in different contexts. To reinforce this approach the PEGASUS partner team itself is composed of both academic and practitioner partners within the consortium.
PEGASUS’s implementation will involve close cooperation with a range of stakeholders and organisations at multiple governance levels (EU, national, regional, local) throughout its research activities. In particular, PEGASUS will carry out action research via 30-35 case studies, covering a wide spectrum of territories, sectors, management systems, etc. and entailing active stakeholder engagement and participation.
